An Artist's Spirituality

Life in the Mountains
Hello friends and happy Virgo season to you! In this month's Postcard I'll be sharing a video I created about the path I'm walking- a holistic nature spirituality. Plus some photos from my new life here in the mountains and a visit to Apu Ausungate.

When I wrote you last I was heading into the mountains to live a different kind of life.
And in many ways I am.
My Neighbors here are farmers.
They're teaching me how to work the land. And grow my own food and vegetables.
I bath each day in the the river or with water from the glaciers above. I cook each night over open fire. And my electricity comes directly from the sun.
All of this is very different than the way I grew up, in the suburbs and cities of America.
So why have I moved out here, to the cold high mountains of Peru?
As I opened up my senses through my spiritual practices,
I found more and more that true happiness and well being for me,
comes from living harmoniously with Mother Nature.
Now I have the chance to dedicate myself to my path.
And to learn how to live sustainably and in wise relationship with the earth.

Some people tell me that my journeys inspire them.
For this I'm grateful.
There's a lot of us who have heard the call.
who are returning to a more natural way.
In our culture, we've lost many of the tools and traditions that help us walk our
path. And most importantly, our connection to nature and our ourselves.
A Holistic Spirituality helps us remember that we are mother nature.
That every aspect of our lives and history,
weave together the tapestry of our unique journey here on earth.
This video is my latest work of art.
Through it I share some of what I've discovered in my path.
