Seasons Greetings
Hello Friends.
Wishing you a very Happy Holidays from my family to yours!
With my son growing up in India, family time for me has often meant
visiting a different culture.
The greatest cultures of the world, have always been a synthesis of the gifts and talents of multiple villages, tribes, and peoples.
When people come together with respect and curiosity,
it can lead to innovation and progress in the arts, foods, sciences, and every aspect of life and society.
But with so many inhabitants sharing this mother earth together, a happy outcome for all is neither guaranteed nor easy.
It often takes courage, humility, and all the gifts and arts of spirituality and science to find our way forward.
As we "wake up," as a country, as a people, as a species and as an earth,
May we learn to hold a little more gently to our judgments and beliefs.
And a little closer to those we love.

A Call to Action
As I set my sights back to the land of Peru,
my friend there is in the hospital with his son,
and urgently needs some help.
My friend is a musician. He plays the flute and the traditional folk music of peru. He cannot afford the care his son needs to survive.
"I am Yadiel Andrew's father," he writes. "I live in Peru, and I am going through a very difficult situation due to the complications of my son's illness, which has him hospitalized. Pulmonary. It is a serious condition in which the air sacs in the lungs fill with fluid, making breathing difficult."
Through creating gofundmes, holding barbecues and lotteries, and the generous loans and donations of friends, we have raised almost a 1,000 dollars to help pay for this operation.
But time is short, and we still have a ways to go
If you can donate, you can make a difference.
Let's give this child the best chance he has at life!
